Problems can occur when you print a PDF file. For example, a PDF file can contain damaged content such as images or fonts that Acrobat cannot process during printing. Printing a PDF file as an image bypasses that processing by sending the printer a simple image of the document instead. This process can cause images and fonts to look slightly rougher, especially at the edges. However, you can specify the resolution in dots per inch (dpi) to suit your needs.

How to convert images to PDF Click on 'Choose file' and select the pictures that you would like to convert, or drag and drop them into the box. Adobe releases free security updates quarterly. The updates often include improvements to common problems. Download the latest free update:

1. Open Reader or Acrobat.
2. Choose Help > Check For Updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
3. Once installed, restart you computer.
   
4. Print the PDF again.

If the text is garbled or prints with 'junk' characters, print again, but keep the PDF open until the entire PDF prints. If you are printing from the web, try printing using a different browser. Again, keep the browser window open until the PDF has finished printing.

pdfimages[options] PDF-file image-root

DESCRIPTION

Pdfimagessaves images from a Portable Document Format (PDF) file asPortable Pixmap (PPM), Portable Graymap (PGM), PortableBitmap (PBM), or JPEG files.

Pdfimages readsthe PDF file, scans one or more pages, PDF-file, andwrites one PPM, PGM, PBM, or JPEG file for each image,image-root-nnnn.xxx, where nnnnis the image number and xxx is the image type (.ppm,.pgm, .pbm, .jpg).

NB: pdfimagesextracts the raw image data from the PDF file, withoutperforming any additional transforms. Any rotation,clipping, color inversion, etc. Download wireless data device modems driver. done by the PDF contentstream is ignored.

CONFIGURATION FILE

Pdfimages readsa configuration file at startup. It first tries to find theuser’s private config file, ~/.xpdfrc. If thatdoesn’t exist, it looks for a system-wide config file,typically /usr/local/etc/xpdfrc (but this location can bechanged when pdfimages is built). See the xpdfrc(5)man page for details.

OPTIONS

Many of thefollowing options can be set with configuration filecommands. These are listed in square brackets with thedescription of the corresponding command line option.
−fnumber

Specifies the first page toscan.

−lnumber

Specifies the last page toscan.

−j	Normally, all images are written as PBM (for monochromeimages), PGM (for grayscale images), or PPM (for colorimages) files. With this option, images in DCT format aresaved as JPEG files. All non-DCT images are saved inPBM/PGM/PPM format as usual. (Inline images are always savedin PBM/PGM/PPM format.)
−raw	Write all images in PDF-native formats. Most of theformats are not standard image formats, so this option isprimarily useful as input to a tool that generates PDFfiles. (Inline images are always saved in PBM/PGM/PPMformat.)
−list	Write a one-line summary to stdout for each image. Thesummary provides the image file name, the page number, theimage width and height, the horizontal and verticalresolution (DPI) as drawn, the color space type, and thenumber of bits per component (BPC).

−opwpassword

Specify the owner password forthe PDF file. Providing this will bypass all securityrestrictions.
